House sales in the Bentleigh region are performing more strongly Melbourne with house prices demonstrating a fall of -10.2% over the past 12 months. This compares to Melbourne where house prices have fallen by -2% for the same period.

There have been 1,048 sales over the past 12 months, which is 172 fewer than for the same period last year.

Listing levels are also lower than last year with 1,349 currently for sale in comparison to 1,492 previously.

The most expensive suburb to buy a house in the Bentleigh region is Ormond with a median sales price of $1,461,000, while the most affordable suburb for housing is Bentleigh East where the median price is $1,138,000.

The time it takes to sell is about the same as Melbourne generally with houses selling in 36 days compared with 34 days for Melbourne as a whole.
